Problem Solving

When I first arrived to Academic Advising, The CoVid-19 pandemic had been around for 5 months. Most employees had switched to remote work around the world. I was fortunate to be hired as a remote employee at BYU-Hawaii Academic Advising. I could quickly see that students needed to contact and meet with their advisor, but there was no clear way as each advisor had been running their own scheduling systems. I saw that they needed to be on one system and work together as a department. Though I was new, I proposed the idea of using the Stellic Scheduling system and implemented, installed, and helped each advisor figure how to set up appointments. Through this, there was a lot more unity and less confusion for students on campus and within the department.
